Biography
Kho Teck Wan is the Political Secretary to the Premier of Sarawak and a prominent voice in the Sarawak United Peoples' Party (SUPP), where she served as Central Women’s Chief. With a background in IT and cybersecurity, she brings a rare blend of technical expertise and policy insight into Sarawak’s evolving political landscape.
Before entering full-time politics, Teck Wan built an international career in technology—working in the United States for nearly a decade and later contributing to key roles in information security and data systems. She holds a Master’s degree in Computer Systems Networking and Telecommunications, reflecting her strong foundation in the digital economy.
Her journey into politics was shaped early on through family influence and grassroots exposure, eventually leading her to join SUPP in 2011. Since then, she has taken on leadership roles focused on empowering women, strengthening community engagement, and advocating for Sarawak’s rights and autonomy.
Known for her hands-on approach, Teck Wan has also served as a local councillor in Kuching, working closely with communities to address everyday issues while pushing for long-term development, digital transformation, and youth opportunities in the state.
