Biography

Jasveena Kaur, originally from Miri, Sarawak, is the founder and driving force behind Jasveena Cleaning Service in Kuching. Her professional path began with a two-year stint in the HSSE (Health, Safety, Security, and Environment) industry before she dedicated herself to being a full-time homemaker to raise her four children. During this time, her entrepreneurial curiosity led her to experiment with various home-based businesses, including baking artisan breads and making homemade jams.

The shift into the cleaning industry was a blend of personal necessity and a spark of inspiration from the TV show Desperate Housewives. After moving to Kuching, she found it increasingly difficult to secure reliable cleaning help for her own home. Realizing other families likely faced the same "desperation," she decided to fill the gap himself. She started by training her own live-in helper to her exacting standards and advertising within her condominium via simple mailbox flyers.

Over the past decade, she has successfully scaled the business into a reputable service provider with a core team of 10–15 local staff. Her portfolio has expanded far beyond residential homes to include high-stakes commercial projects, such as post-renovation cleaning for the Kuching International Airport. Despite a major setback in 2022 that nearly saw her close the business, she pivoted and rebuilt the company from the ground up, fueled by a desire for independence and a genuine love for the work. Today, she remains a hands-on leader, personally interviewing and training new staff in her own home to ensure the "Jasveena standard" is upheld.
