Gordon Surein Raj is the founder of Othego Sdn Bhd, a Kuching-based room rental business built from the ground up through grit, consistency, and a deep understanding of the local market. Starting in 2018 from a modest hostel setup, he has steadily scaled the business into a portfolio of 10 units by 2026—turning a simple idea into a growing operation that serves the everyday housing needs of Kuching residents.

From managing tenants to optimizing occupancy and expanding unit by unit, his journey reflects the realities of building a property business without shortcuts—learning through experience, adapting to challenges, and staying disciplined through uncertainty.
His work focuses on providing practical, affordable living solutions while building a sustainable rental model that can grow over time. Behind the numbers is a mindset rooted in long-term thinking, operational efficiency, and understanding what tenants actually need.
