Pole Fitness Kuching
If you are an instructor who is constantly competitive with your students, you shouldn’t be teaching. The goal isn't to be better than them; it's to help them become better than you. I don't see potential as a threat; I see it as something to be nurtured.

Biography
Ang Kai Li, known to her students as Kai, is the founder and lead instructor of Pole Fitness Kuching. Her journey is a testament to resilience and the pursuit of unconventional passions. Originally a medical student in the Philippines, Kai discovered pole fitness and aerial arts during an unexpected holiday in 2012. After returning to Sarawak in 2017 to care for a sick family member, she initially planned to pursue her medical board exams. However, she noticed a void in the local fitness scene and began teaching part-time. Despite being told that Kuching "had no market" for pole fitness and facing the uncertainty of the pandemic, Kai rebuilt from scratch. In 2025, she successfully opened her own dedicated studio, transforming a misunderstood art form into a respected fitness discipline in her home city.
