Who Is Senator Robert Lau?

For those unfamiliar with him, Senator Robert Lau, commonly known as Robert Lau Hui Yew, is a lawyer by profession and currently serves as a Senator in the Malaysian Parliament (Dewan Negara). He is also actively involved in the Sarawak United Peoples' Party (SUPP), where he plays a key leadership role, particularly in Sibu and Bawang Assan. He holds a law degree from the University of Hull and has long been involved in public service and community leadership.

But beyond politics, Senator Robert Lau is someone with a strong passion for health, fitness, and an active lifestyle. During our time with him, he shared his interests outside of Parliament, including photography, football, swimming, squash, and running. At age 61, he still does cycling on his spare time.His passion for staying active reflects his belief in maintaining discipline, health, and balance despite a demanding public service schedule.
